Although there are a large number of games available at the Apple store, you would definitely welcome the WarShip which is a pirate combat based game. Developed by Goorusoft, it is a real time combat game and is sure to add variety to the long list of iPhone games.

You can keep upgrading your ship with more cannons, improved sails and heavier armor as the levels increase. You can also unlock other powerful ships which have unique strengths and weaknesses. The game gives you an incredible view as you can zoom in and out of the action whenever you like. The wonderful audio work coupled with the fabulous graphics and a competent physics system makes the game very interesting.

However, Warship requires you to constantly upgrade to new ship or else you lose the plot. This may seem exciting initially but becomes very grinding as you move on. The current version which runs very smoothly under the iPhone OS 3.0 update has the problems of bugs which crop up every now and then. Even with these drawbacks, Warship proves very addictive and is sure to add fun when you have larger and larger targets with each passing level.

Warship however, does not have touch ups and multiplayer mode. It runs smoothly with any iPhone and iPod touch which are running the 2.2.1 software update.
