It’s fairly easy to find the lyrics to your favorite song online. All you have to do is search the artist, title, and the word lyrics. But when that search pops up, you’ll find a ton of sites, many of them full of pop-up ads and other junk. If your surfing on your iPhone over WiFi or EDGE and your looking for song lyrics, picking through sites like these can be really frustrating. Apparently TheMacBox agree’s.
The Web app named iLyrics by TheMacBox allows you to search for your favorite song lyrics hassle free. As it is optimized for the iPhone and is developed in AJAX, you’ll be able to navigate through the app fairly quickly regardless of how slow EDGE actually is. All of the lyrics are provided directly from LyricsWiki.org which is a lot more reliable than most of the other sites you’ll come across searching through Google.
This is one app that would be excellent to see converted over with the upcoming release of the SDK. Picture it scanning your library when you sync your iPhone and downloading the lyrics for each song you have.
As we get closer to the SDK launch, we’ll set up a poll for you to vote on what apps you want to see the most on the iPhone.
