The competition for the top position in smartphones is going high among some of the best mobile phone models and the latest news is that the iPhone 4S have left behind the Galaxy Nexus of Samsung for the top position in Verizon. Among the major US carriers of mobile phones, the Verizon is one and securing a top position in this carrier definitely is a major accomplishment for the handset. This new model of the Apple iPhones has even replaced another model of the same manufacturer, the Apple iPhone 4.0 to the second position.

Almost all of the top positions in the US mobile phone leading carriers have been secured by Apple and if there is one that can be named as not giving any top place to the Apple handsets then that is T-Mobile but the noticeable point here is that Apple haven’t even participated in it. Subscribers of other carriers like AT&T, Sprint and Verizon are enjoying the purchase of the Apple handsets except for the T-Mobile buyers.

The T-Mobile carrier however, ranked the Samsung’s Galaxy S II as the top selling phone and this same model remained as the closest contender to Apple at Verizon and second at AT&T and Sprint. The other model securing the third position in Verizon is the Motorola Droid RAZR. The one name that failed to attain any place in these carriers except for the third stand in the T-mobile is the HTC.
