Google Earth which is one of the most popular applications in the App store for iPhone and iPod Touch has already got an update within six months from the time it was launched by Google. Google announced the version 2.0 with some improved features which include exploring the application in different languages and with improved performance. The latest update gives you the opportunity to view maps by using My Maps interface after logging to Google Maps account.
You can even view maps that are created by others. The update to the application ensures an amazing experience with its ability to provide you with information about places that help you discover different new parts of the world. Apart from this, it also allows you to view images and Wikipedia articles. To simplify your experience of browsing, there is a glow under the icons which you touch and in case you touch more than one icon, you are taken to a list of the icons from where you can select the one of your choice.
The Google Earth for iPhone earlier supported 18 languages which have increased to 31 with this new update. This means that users will have more options when it comes to choosing their language. Overall, the update seems a minor one with the only noticeable new thing being its ability to view maps that you have saved, using Google Maps to My Maps. The update will surely boost the popularity of this application a great deal among its users.
